reviewing my regression

31 sec read

Just a short update: This week we covered chapter three of ISLR on linear regression. One general comment is that it was primarily a review of the material that we covered in a recent statistics class at the University of Connecticut. There were a few R functions that were new to me, but it was otherwise material already known. This is not machine learning in the sense that I have learnt it, so I have opted out of doing the problems at the back of the chapter. I am hoping that future chapters are a bit more interesting.
On an aside, I leave for China tomorrow (as I write this) and there will be no update next week as adjusting to Suzhou may take a bit of time. This is a planned break in our studies, so there will be updates on chapter four in two weeks. Until then.
